Newry – activities and day trip

Within the local community we run activities every day to support people with their mental health such as arts and crafts, walking groups, cookery, and trips but with covid this had to be reduced to keep everyone safe. We will use this funding for 3 things: to purchase art supplies so our service users can engage in art therapy, to purchase outdoor games and picnic boxes so that we can use local green spaces for outdoor activities, to organise a day trip.

We would like the opportunity to take all our members from Newry out on a day trip with service users from our other areas and have a picnic together so that they can all come together again. This is something which has been sorely missed over the past two years and we know that it would make a huge difference to not only the member’s wellbeing but also staff.
