Urban Minds – Opening doors to mental health support in Bristol

Location: Bristol , South West England

A two-prong approach to support access to mental health support and services across Bristol as the city recovers from the impact of Covid-19.

The creation of Clic Bristol will provide 24/7 access to peer support and information on local services through a safe, moderated platform. Clic Bristol will signpost people to the Urban Minds project which will be expanded across the city, offering a community-based drop-in service for people to access support for their mental health. Urban Minds will place a focus on reaching young people from BAME communities who are traditionally less likely to access mental health services.

The expansion of Urban Minds and the establishment of Clic Bristol means that the project in Bristol is integrating and building on 2 services which already exist and have external support. An emphasis is also placed on building community engagement through involvement of service users in developing Clic Bristol and Urban Minds.
