Top tip for reaching your fundraising target.

Organise a fundraising event at work or with friends as soon as you join #TeamMHUK. Fundraising for #TeamMHUK is a reason to do something fun. It could be a cheese and wine night, a film screening at your house or a BBQ where people make a donation to come along. Run a raffle, or a sweepstake during the event and you will be surprised at just how much you can raise.

Remember that whatever money you raise will really make a difference to our work and people’s lives.

You can still join #TeamMHUK

If you’ve already signed up to run the Brighton Marathon but paid your entrance fee directly to the event organisers, you can still run for us. We’d love you to join #TeamMHUK as an Own Place Runner. Just send an email using the link below to let us know.

You’ll get all the same benefits as a Charity Place Runner, but you won’t have a minimum fundraising target.

By signing up as an Own Place Runner you must have already received your place and paid your entry fee directly to the event organiser.

The positive impact the group has had on me is huge. I don’t feel so isolated any more. If the support had not been available I would still be facing depression and loneliness, unable to look after myself and over-thinking things.

"I was totally elated when I crossed the line and so glad I’d given it a go!"

Helen Taylor

"Mental Health UK was a friendly partner to have. I received lots of motivational encouragement via email which maybe doesn’t sound like much but knowing people are rooting for you really helps"
