London Landmarks Half Marathon 2023

Join our largest event team ever, and take on one of THE most fun and exciting half marathons of the year.

Celebrate the Spring in London with one of the city’s most unique challenge events.

The event is not your average half marathon! From cultural landmarks and heritage to the city’s quirky and hidden secrets, runners get to explore the capital on a route like no other! An amazing atmosphere, with many different outfits, lots of music, bands and singing. Last year saw over 300 charities benefit and we are so proud to be part of 2023’s event.

Throughout the event, runners will see different historical re-enactments and historic characters all pertaining to London’s history. It won’t be a stretch to say you will see Henry 8th, suffragettes, pearly kings and queens alongside rock and steel bands!

The race starts by The Strand, finishes by Downing Street and has fabulous views of London’s most iconic landmarks including Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, Nelson’s Column, the Gherkin, the Shard, the Tower of London and the London Eye.

There are free guided history tours for spectators and treasure hunts for children, so whether you are running or watching, it is a GREAT day out for the family!

You will have 4 hours to complete the event so please be sure you can do this before registering.

We cannot wait to have you on our largest event team EVER!

Once signed up, we will send you a technical running top for you to wear on event day, so we can spot you, and cheer you on! Hooray! And when you complete the race, you will get a fabulous medal celebrating a London Landmark and a free prosecco, mocktail or juice!

FAQ’s (from the organiser…)

IS THERE A BAG DROP?

Yes, and more details will be released nearer to the event.

IS THERE A CUT OFF TIME?

Yes, after 4 hours the roads will re-open and runners will be asked to continue on the pavement.

HOW WILL MY TIME BE RECORDED?

Your time will be recorded with UHF Chip technology. Your finish time will be texted to you after crossing the finish line and will be available on the London Landmarks Half Marathon website.

CAN I USE HEADPHONES TO LISTEN TO MY MUSIC DURING THE LLHM?

We strongly discourage the use of any equipment that acts as an impediment to hearing or concentration when competing. This includes, but is not limited to, mobile telephones, personal stereos and MP3 players. We cannot be responsible for accidents resulting from taking part with such equipment. We will have the most fantastic entertainment lined up on the route that you won’t want to miss.

WILL THERE BE PACERS?

Yes, there will be pacers across a variety of average speeds in some of the waves.

CAN I RUN IN FANCY DRESS?

Yes you can – we love to see runners in fancy dress! Please be aware of the cut off times to ensure that your fancy dress outfit will not impair your ability to complete the course in this time.

CAN I TAKE PART IN MY WHEELCHAIR?

Unfortunately, we are not currently able to accommodate wheelchair athletes but this is something that we are hoping to introduce in subsequent years.

The positive impact the group has had on me is huge. I don’t feel so isolated any more. If the support had not been available I would still be facing depression and loneliness, unable to look after myself and over-thinking things.
