London Nightrider 2022

Not your usual night out! Join us for the cycle event of the year this June.

Choose your distance of 50km or 100km and bike ride around London’s most famous sites and landmarks… at night!

This is one of the capital’s most popular and unique cycling experiences, and we couldn’t be more excited to have 50 places for a Mental Health UK team to take part!

The first ever Nightrider took place in 2010 on the streets of London with 300 cyclists and since then has gained tremendous success with over 21,000 participants having taken up the challenge to date.

Following the Covid-19 pandemic Nightrider will be making it’s return in 2022 and we’d love you to join us and become a Nightrider yourself. You will be given a map of the route ahead of the ride and the entire route will be sign-posted so you can focus on the roads (and the sights!).  Every 25km you will have the chance to stop off at our designated stops to replenish yourself with snacks and water. At the finish line you’ll also enjoy a complementary breakfast (meat or vegetarian options provided)!

Both routes are circular and will take you past many of London’s most famous landmarks. Highlights include Queen Elizabeth Olympic ParkTower BridgePiccadilly CircusTrafalgar Square, the London Eye and Buckingham Palace.

Once you have completed the ride you will be rewarded with an official souvenir of your achievement – the coveted Nightrider Medal! This is for you to treasure and remember your exciting night experience by.

So grab your high vis and your helmet and sign up now!

The positive impact the group has had on me is huge. I don’t feel so isolated any more. If the support had not been available I would still be facing depression and loneliness, unable to look after myself and over-thinking things.

"I enjoyed seeing my fundraising increase on a weekly basis, the events that I organised pushed me out of my comfort zone, I talked to people about Mental Health in a way that I would never have done otherwise."

Louise Greenwood,

"I was totally elated when I crossed the line and so glad I’d given it a go!"

Helen Taylor

"Mental Health UK was a friendly partner to have. I received lots of motivational encouragement via email which maybe doesn’t sound like much but knowing people are rooting for you really helps"
