50k for Mental Health UK

Join #TeamMHUK, conquer 50k and start your summer with a challenge! This fully supported trekking adventure starts on 20 May 2022 with an overnight stay before an early start the next day to complete the 50k trek along the challenging yet incredible Jurassic Coast, England’s first UNESCO designated natural World Heritage Site.

Following an overnight stay on 20 May, an early start and a hearty breakfast the next day will put us in good stead for the 7-9 hours of trekking ahead. We will take in some beautiful coastal scenery and also venture inland in sections where the landscape serves up vast Iron Age hill forts, chalk figures, fairy-tale castles and incredible stately homes. This epic challenge will finish when we reach the seaside town of Weymouth with its sandy shores dotted with colourful beach huts and backed by Georgian houses.

(Included in your registration is a one-night stay, breakfast, lunch and snack-points.)

Top tip for reaching your fundraising target

Organise a fundraising event at work or with friends as soon as you join #TeamMHUK. Fundraising for #TeamMHUK is a reason to do something fun. It could be a cheese and wine night, a film screening at your house or a BBQ where people make a donation to come along. Run a raffle or a sweepstake during the event and you’ll be surprised at just how well you can do.

Remember that the money you raise will really make a difference to our work, helping people affected by poor mental health live better lives.

The positive impact the group has had on me is huge. I don’t feel so isolated any more. If the support had not been available I would still be facing depression and loneliness, unable to look after myself and over-thinking things.

"I was totally elated when I crossed the line and so glad I’d given it a go!"

Helen Taylor

"Mental Health UK was a friendly partner to have. I received lots of motivational encouragement via email which maybe doesn’t sound like much but knowing people are rooting for you really helps"
