Get Active – helping Londoners with mental health problems be more active

Location: London, Greater London

We want to employ a physical health navigator to work with people living with severe mental illness across London.

They will develop and deliver 1-2-1 and group physical health interventions in the community, linking in with our existing services in London as well as other providers. This project has been developed in response to evidence that shows people with mental health problems have become less physically active as a result of Covid-19 lockdowns etc.

An internal evaluation is proposed to provide evidence to support the wider roll out of a physical health navigator programme funded by the NHS or others. Participants will also be supported to upskill and build confidence so they can establish activity groups which continue post-funding.

Helping Communities
Prosper in 2022

The pandemic has had a profound impact on mental health; millions of people will develop a mental health problem, or have seen their existing conditions worsen.

Our partnership with Lloyds Banking Group is helping us to deliver much needed mental health services to people and communities across the UK.
