A gift in your will

We know that those you love come first. By choosing to leave a gift to Mental Health UK in your will, you can help us improve lives for people affected by poor mental health. Leaving a gift in your will is an incredible way to help people affected by mental health problems. It’s a very personal and important decision, and we are here to help and answer any questions you may have.

There are two main types of gift you can leave in your will

A cash gift for a specific amount or a percentage of your estate. Here is the wording you can use in your will:

Wording for a cash gift

“I give (insert amount) to Mental Health UK (Registered Charity no. 1170815), 28 Albert Embankment, London, SE1 7GR to be applied for its general purpose and the receipt of the Honorary Treasurer or other proper officer for the time being of Mental Health UK shall be a complete discharge to my executors.”

Wording for a percentage gift

“I give (insert percentage) of my residuary estate to Mental Health UK (Registered Charity no. 1170815), 28 Albert Embankment, London, SE1 7GR to be applied for its general purpose and the receipt of the Honorary Treasurer or other proper officer for the time being of Mental Health UK shall be a complete discharge to my executors.”
