Grow our online mental health forum

Thanks to funding from the Department of Health and Social Care in England, we have been able to expand our online mental health forum and support more people across the UK.

Coronavirus has created unimaginable change to our daily lives, and we are heading towards a mental health crisis. For those with existing mental health problems, lockdown measures have led to increased feelings of loneliness, isolation and helplessness. Many people are also experiencing mental health problems for the first time, yet mental health teams are more stretched than ever. We need your help in order to expand our online peer-to-peer support and information website, Clic.

Social isolation is affecting people’s mental health. Those who need it most may find it difficult to connect with others in a meaningful way. Clic aims to reduce the loneliness and isolation experienced by people with poor mental health and their carers. Launched in Wales four years ago, Clic is expanding across the UK in April 2020. We need funds to significantly extend the site. Your support will enable us to:

  • Add new mental health information
  • Create new features to improve user experience such as public and private chat rooms where people can connect on topics which matter to them
  • Provide 24/7 site moderation
  • Ensure the site’s accessibility by millions of people UK-wide

By facilitating a safe environment for people to chat peer to peer online, we hope to support thousands of people through the covid-19 crisis and beyond, and reduce the burden on our healthcare system by providing easy access to advice and information.

Thank you to the Department of Health and Social Care for funding this project.

Real people, real impact.

I find it really comforting that Clic never closes. I can log on any time of the day or night and someone will be there to chat.
