Clic

Clic, was a peer support platform, established in 2016 and expanded with funding from Lloyds Banking Group to help people connect online for mental health support.

Despite helping many connect during the pandemic, declining demand and funding led to the closure of Clic on March 31, 2025.

Why did Clic close?

Following a comprehensive review, involving feedback surveys, focus groups, and website data analysis; it was evident that demand and user engagement had significantly dropped.

Clic met an important need during the pandemic, but as the landscape and the needs of our community evolved, it no longer served in the same way. Alongside this, the costs associated with maintaining and moderating an active online community remained high.

We remain committed to providing support through other avenues that better align with the post-pandemic landscape.

Frequently Asked Questions

What will happen to my personal data or content that was added on Clic?

When the Clic platform closed on Monday 31st March 2025, all user data and accounts that have been inactive for more than 6 years will be permanently deleted from our systems.

This includes:

  • profile information and settings
  • posts, messages, or comments made in the forums
  • personal data or activity tracking associated with the account

As stated in Clic’s privacy policy, legally we need to keep some records in case there is a query, and we will retain profile information for those users who have been active on the site within 6 years. We will review the data annually, deleting anything that has gone outside of the 6 years to ensure we minimise the information we keep.

Where else can Clic users go for a similar platform?
