Barr Soft Drinks

Soft drinks manufacturer Barr Soft Drinks has chosen us as their charity partner for 3 years to help us raise vital funds as well as create more mentally healthy AG Barr sites.

Barr Soft Drinks was established over 140 years ago in Scotland. Now they are a successful FTSE 250 business with a diverse portfolio of iconic soft drinks including IRN-BRU, Rubicon, Snapple and Strathmore water. Barr Soft Drinks colleagues voted to partner with Mental Health UK and support us to deliver our services, support and information across the UK. Over the next three years we will be working closely with a group of Barr Soft Drinks Charity Champions at each of their ten sites to not only raise vital funds for Mental Health UK but also to build better awareness surrounding mental health in the workplace.

September 2019

Barr Soft Drinks launched the partnership with multiple Step by Step fundraisers across their locations. By asking colleagues, family and friends to join the Step by Step at their local sites we aimed to get people out and about, taking a walk together and opening up conversations about mental health. Our Chief Executive, Brian Dow, also joined the walk at their headquarters in Cumbernauld to celebrate the launch of our new partnership.

We are passionate about supporting our workforce and the wider community, so we’re delighted to support such an important cause. Mental Health UK were clear winners in our employee vote which reflects the increasing importance people place on their mental wellbeing
