Poundland stores first opened in 1990 with the mission to bring amazing value to customers by providing great pricing on a number of everyday household products. Their product list has since grown, and they now offer competitive pricing on over 3,000 products, providing superb deals to over 7 million people each week. In recent years Poundland’s investments have been focused on their staff and creating a mentally healthy culture at work.

Poundland were looking for an expert partner in the mental health field to shape their wellbeing programme, empowering all Poundland colleagues to prioritise their own wellbeing. This was to include mental health training for their managers and to create a Mental Health Champion network across the business. We worked alongside Poundland from 2020 to 2022, training over 22 managers in mental health awareness and 114 colleagues. We’ve also been there for Poundland as experts in the field, attending internal meetings to provide expert guidance on how Poundland can enhance their mental health support offering for staff.
