New resource hub launched supporting people back into employment

Mental Health UK is proud to announce the launch of a comprehensive new Resource Hub —designed to empower individuals on their journey into work.

The Into Work Resource Hub offers practical tools, cognitive behavioural techniques , and expert guidance to help jobseekers regain their confidence, identify their skills, and successfully navigate their path to employment. Crucially, the hub places a strong emphasis on mental wellbeing throughout the entire process, recognising that emotional resilience is key, as its often a journey that is long, complex, and fraught with setbacks.

"Through our experience delivering the holistic Into Work employment service, we’ve learned that returning to work after facing mental health challenges or personal setbacks is about much more than just practical guidance. It requires tailored, compassionate support that considers the whole person, their confidence, wellbeing, and unique circumstances.

We’ve had the privilege of walking alongside 350 clients on their journeys, seeing firsthand the resilience, determination, and growth that come from the right support at the right time. Whether it’s helping someone rebuild their confidence after a difficult period, providing personalised career guidance, or connecting them with meaningful opportunities, we’ve witnessed truly inspiring transformations.

Each success story is a reminder that with the right encouragement and resources, people can overcome significant barriers to employment and take positive steps toward their goals. This new Into Work resource hub offers the tools, advice, and support needed to help individuals approach their future with confidence."

– Will Hebditch, Employment Programmes Manager

“The conversation around mental health and employment has reached a critical crossroads recently. As punitive welfare policies threaten to marginalise those struggling with mental health challenges, we stand firm in our belief that every individual deserves a personalised journey back to work — a journey recognising their unique strengths, challenges, and potential.

Whilst we continue to offer such services across Harrow (London), Gravesend (Kent), and Wrexham (North Wales), we wanted to ensure the tools and resources we use as part of our service were accessible to everyone.

Our goal is to empower people to embrace their potential and achieve meaningful, long-term employment while safeguarding their mental wellbeing.”

– Charlotte Maxwell Davies, Head of Workplace Mental Health & Training
