What is depression?

Everyone experiences times when they feel low, but usually these feelings pass. If these feelings don’t go after a few weeks, if they keep coming back or are interfering with your life it could be a sign of depression. Depression is not something you can ‘snap out of’ quickly, however it can be treated.

Depression is common, around 1 in 10 of us will experience it, and anyone can get it at any age.
