Eternal Beauty
is the ground-breaking new release by acclaimed writer and director Craig Roberts which centres around mental illness.

When Jane (Sally Hawkins) is dumped at the altar she has a breakdown and spirals into a chaotic world, where love – both real and imagined – and family relationships collide with both touching and humorous consequences.

Eternal Beauty also features a  stellar cast including Billie Piper (Yerma, Penny Dreadful, Doctor Who), David Thewlis (Fargo, Wonder Woman, Harry Potter), Morfydd Clark (St Maud, The Personal History of David Copperfield), Alice Lowe (Prevenge, Sightseers) and Penelope Wilton (The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Downton Abbey).

Mental Health UK is working with Bulldog Film Distribution on the release of Eternal Beauty to connect its viewing audience to the right advice and information they need to manage their mental health and support those in their community.

In conversation with Craig Roberts

Ahead of its release, we caught up with Craig Roberts, writer and director of Eternal Beauty to explore the film’s main themes, his personal connection to the script, and discuss his thoughts on the way in which mental health and mental illness is depicted in modern cinema.
